Uploading videos for my website

hihi...me and friends are making a website of our random videos, taken from a digital camera and digital video camera..

wondering how i should convert the videos and what format is good for webpages? also not sure about codecs and whether noobs will be able to watch it and watever,,,

for the newbie's convenience i'd say wmv

Wmv gave crappy result. Try the new DivX Web Player.

The user can easily detach the video from the webpage and change the size or select the setting 'Always on top'

If you want an exemple go to :http://community.divx.com/movies/

Click on play on any of those video.

To detach the video, simply Right click on the video and select "Windowed mode"
