nero 7 installing problems

greetings from the usa,

i recently bought nero 7 uninstalled both anti virus and firewall.they are
zonealarm,adaware.i installed (or tried to)install nero 7 and i had a problem wi
-th the soundtrax option in nero 7.this same option in nero 6 was compleatly
different than in nero7.nero 6 works very well.i use it for editing 78s.what c-
ould cause this installing nero 7 problem??any ideas??

Might check your soundcard drivers and update if needed then try a reinstall of the program.

have you downloaded the latest updates for nero 7 suite?

i believe i did but when i did that i still saw these demo versions in the smart
start.this confused me as i thought i had already installed the software.why
was these demo options in the smart start??i cant seem to update the driver
in my soundblaster 24 bit live card.thanks

well now my problem has changed. i had to reinstall nero 6 and when i looked
to see if nero 6 was in my control panel it said nero 7 was listed instead of nero 6.when i tried to remove it said that it cant be removed as its at a place
thats not available.how to correct this now??thanks

try from safe mode, download the clean tools and start back from scratch

thanks chewy-one more thing everytime i try to use the nero clean tools i get cannot open this file as it might have a damaged file that cannot be opened because it wasnt decoaded correctly.u no about this kind of thing??

i did everything u said.everythings uninstalled except that nero 7 in the con-
troll panel.it looks like an installer option 4 nero 7 as i clicked on it and it said;
the windows installer could not be accessed.contact support personal to vari-
that the windows installer is properl registered.so this is an installer issue.any

look for other parts of nero in add and remove programs, make sure you
don't have any nero app running down near the clock and cntrl/alt/del
and shutdown any nero thing running

i was in safe mode-heres the situation-when i was in add and remove programs i noticed all the program icons were not removable.what i
mean is that if i pressed one of them the add/remove botton was not
pressable they were in gray and not pressable.thats what that nero 7
installer looked like(and out of the box cd).how can i get these add/re
move buttons back to where they can be pressable in other words not
gray?thanks

so all programs in add and remove are doing this?

hi yep

if i add more programs to the add remove they show up as removable but
the older programs are gray and unremovable buttons.nero 7 is among the-
ses gray buttons yet its not in my computer at all.
