    dvd help

    i can watch a burned movie from the net on my computer but not on my dvd player can someone tell me why??

    you mean its been burned to a disc but only plays on your pc.......oops thats obvious maybe your player dont support the media your burning to you tried another player..?

      Yes i have 2 dvd players,one player plays burnt discs that have dvd-r and the other one only plays discs with dvd+r

        so if they play burnt movies wots the prob (clarify)you mean they dont play movies burned direct from the net

          Howdy!

          Some stand alone dvd players cannot play the .avi or Divix format video files such as those found on the internet. You can however take that movie file and use the many freebie dvd authoring programs to create a standard readable DVD for your stand alone player. Info on this can be found all over this forum.
