divx (avi) merge with subtitles

Hi, which software can you recommend me to merge a documental that i have on avi with the subtitles that are on a .sub separated file, I want to do this with correct sync and no loss on quality, and also then convert that merged file to dvd video.

Virtualdub to make a hard subbed avi.Then use AVI2DVD or DivX2DVD to make ur DVD.
