In my opinion there will be no slowing in the performance adding a s-ata HDD to your system. Be sure that your PSU is enough powerful to manage also this drive.

I dont think I know what is it ? sorry because my old one after I add the 4th one it is acting funny so I took it out and it is fine now, but I dont really know how to check them.
I had exactly one just put in few weeks, and it is massive fast and alot of room
Why not just replace smaller hard drives with larger ones that way you can transpher all data from old one to new bigger one?
Just a thought.
I did that a while back got rid of the 80 gig for a 160 gig now thinking of making that one my C drive and thinking of buying a bigger one for my second hard drive.
