CD plays in Car not in CD Player

Hi

I have a CD player which is JVC PC-X55 model. My van is 2001 Honda Odyssey. I burnt a CD(with Nero) that plays in my car but not in the CD player. The file extension in the CD is wav. How do I know which file extensions my JVC supports.

Most car stereo units can recognize the raw .wav format as well as .mp3 and some will recognize the .ogg vorbis format. The stand alone CD players for home cannot recognize the raw .wav format, thus the CD needs to be burned in the .cda format. The nero program can take the .wav files and create the proper format for standard audio CD (Red Book).

Did you try playing it thru you DVD player?

ya it works in my dvd player. it doe snot work only in my jvc record palyer. it is a single disc player.

I no longer own a CD player. I just use my DVD player with the audio connected to my Home Theatre setup. One less component and the DVD player plays and sounds better than my CD player did anyway. Also the DVD player can play just about everything.
