Hi if anyone could help it would be appreciated.......
I have Windows Media Player 11 installed. I recently purchased a second hand Creative Soundblaster Audigy sound card (which works fine). I downloaded the SB drivers from Creative and installed them without any problem.
The problem is that now WMP11 refuses to playback mpg or mpeg video from my hard drive. It will play DVD video from both disc and hard drive, it will also playback avi from my hard drive.
This is what the error message says (the web help is of no use)
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. This can occur when another program or operating system component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to the Player."
It used to play mpg/mpeg fine including the ones I'm trying to play now, which still play on Nerovision and PowerDVD and on another PC with WMP11, so its not the files.
Any ideas appreciated.
