Video captured with Pinnacle Studio is not smooth

Hi,

I have a problem. When I capture video with Pinnacle Studio 10 the captured video is not smooth, it skips from one frame to another. I get video preview, disabled it and got the same result.
My camcoder is a Sony DCR-TRV520P and I run Windows XP SP2.
I contacted Pinnacle support, followed their instructions (disable background applications, disable anti-virus software, adjusted Windows for best performance, updated video driver, ran checkdisk, ran disk defragmenter, reinstalled Studio 10) and the issue is still there.
Any suggestions?

I am no expert, but ...

I had the same problem with Pinnacle and it nearly drove me crazy. I re-booted my computer several times and it eventually straight ened itself out. But it was frustrating. Make sure you get all the updates through the Pinnacle web site.
