Ok i know i read this error message in some doc somewhere.
I'm getting either a quartz.dll standard error plaing back my files i flasked or virtual dubed into divix avi's i wasen't having this problem not to long ago. Under windows 2k the files i have encoded will crash out the explorer.exe tho whole thing when i select them from a file explorer none of them are playable.
under windows me same results.
I tried rad light media player and i get divide by zero or 16 something i forget
i remember the doc file i read saing something about either color depth or some setting to avoid when using the divix codex.
i downloaded tmpgenc going to try it i had good experiences with dvd2mpg real time encoding is decent enough but that program pisses the hell out of me when it puts the audio in a seperate file the worthless crap and virtual dub will never combine the dam things even selecting direct stream copy.
i miss the days i was able drop vhs videos to harddrive then divix them. I can make mpeg 1 or 2 files work fine play back fine under any app i run.
In closing i directly place the blame for my marginal memory recall on the reefer.
