    Recording VOD on Panasonic DVD

    Hi,

Not sure which forum to post this in and used search with no positive results.

ntl video on demand is not recordable/protedted when I try to record my purchased movie etc onto a Panasonic DVD recorder.

Any clues on how to get round this?

    Thanks

Perhaps you need to remove the decryption before you can record it?

      Cynthia,

Thanks, but how do I remove the protection to record it?

ntl VOD playout is analogue through a DTV set top box. But when you try to record it, my Panasonic DVD recorder (domestic TV type unit) will not record as the feed has copy protection. How to remove the protection is, I guess, the key!

        Howdy!

Try the Sima unit, link to it is in my signature below.

It has composite RCA and S-Video inputs and outputs. It also has circuitry to clean up analog sources, and can output in NTSC or PAL with the flip of a tiny switch. It removes copyguard effectively.

        Here..I will fix it!
