    problem with music CD playback

    Hi Guys,

the music CDs I have burned have a promlem on playback on CD players- they keep skipping during the playback of the song. Any ideas what is causing the problem? I am using NERO .

    Thanks

Try different blank media and try burning at a slower speed, 8x perhaps.

I use Memorex "Cool Colors" blanks. These discs, though primarily designed for stand alone audio recorders, work extremely well on the PC burner and provide an excellent "footprint", that is burners seem to burn better to these and the players do not take forever trying to read the TOC.

Also if your compilations are from various stamped CD's, make sure those are as clean as possible, free from scratches and smudges, otherwise the reading drive will see these and the data read from the disc will contain "gaps", resulting in skipping and or freezing during playback.

    Hope this helps!

You could always post a burn log.
