I need a new MP3 player

So, I broke my old one.

My school has three floors. I was on the third, and all the sudden my headphones go silent. I look down and see my MP3 player in pieces on the second floor, with no idea how it got there. I did my best to put it back together, but it won't turn on. So I salvaged the 1GB SD card I used as an expansion, and have all the pieces on my bed.

It was a Rio Cali 256MB MP3 player, not bad for $30, lasted a while too.

However I can't find them again for under $50, except on eBay but no buy-it-nows. Does anyone know of any good ones that can use an SD expansion, or a place that has Rio Calis for cheap?

That's as many parts as I could find taken apart on my floor, LOL. I am missing the power and volume buttons.

And they let us have music in school At least I am not one of those iPod fanboys



Also, I am considering selling my old capture card on eBay, it works but my CPU is too slow to get decent results. That could get me at least $50, enough to buy the MP3 player without having to spend all my money

LOL my parents make me pay them back. When I say I will get it on eBay what I mean is I will ask my dad to buy it for me on eBay then pay him.

And Christmas is too far away for me to wait LOL. Plus I will be going to England with part of the band trip like 3 days after Xmas, I want a working MP3 player to take with me

@anon, one of the reasons I hate them are because they are so popular. You can't go 3 feet now without bumping into someone with an iPod. And the funny part is they are not all that great. Yeah the scroll wheel is cool, but I only had about 800MB of music... why buy a 40GB iPod that doesn't even have a radio that I listen to daily?

I have a Sandisk Sansa m240 1GB (on sale now at best Buy for $59.99) and a Sandisk m250 2GB which I like a lot. My wife uses the 1GB. I doesn't use any expansion cards, but I've seen others at Circuit City which use SD cards for expansion. I've had mine mounted on my motorcycle for about 6 months now (owned for about 1 year) and it's stood up a lot of abuse.
