    DVD Burners not recognized

Help, my DVD burners not working. One, pioneer DVR-111D not found and the other, Pioneer A03 not opening and light not lit. I tried upgrading firmware but it tells me target is not found. They did work a few days ago. I checked on the master slave jumpers and they're okay. The A03 worked in another computer. I have another 111D I wanted to put in, but I had the two in and the computer didn't find either. I am running xp media center.:

    Hi uni5,

What do things look like in the Device Manager & Disc Management? When I had a similar problem with storage HD, I opened the case, (Unplug pc first) unplugged/reconnected all connections (power & IDE cables) to the drives; booted back up & all worked ok.

Might want to give that a shot...

    regards, katz

I agree with katzdvd, if I were you I would unhook everything and start all over making sure all of the jumper pins and IDE cables are set correctly.

Thanks guys, I did what you said, put the other 111d in, checked the jumper and a 108 in, took out the 103. Checked the jumpers reconnected and they both work!! Thanks again!
