Help with plextor 712 a burner

Current new problem with my Plextor 712A. DVD burner worked great until recently. Currently the Burner will not recognize any type of media and will cause PC to freeze. Tried startup combination thru msconfig still will not work. If PC is started in Safe mode without network connections Burner seems to work fine. I have deleted all files/programs loaded from start of problem. PC info Attached infotool.txt

are you having any problems with the samsung combo drive?

the same drivers would interfer with both drives.

no - just the plextor

check the cables and power connector, make the plex standalone master on the second ide, connect to end of ide cable and power closest to power supply, if that doesn't help reflash the firmware from safe mode, drive might be dead?
