Unexpected Exception Nero 5.5.8.2

Has anyone come across this problem. I try to create a dvd copy on nero and it starts, its say burn proof activated and the it brings a box that says UNEXPECTED EXCEPTION . It does this even if i copy backup movies, software backups, anything. I have another hard drive with a new OS (windows 2000) and it does the same thing????????????????????????????

Every time I used 5.5.8.0 it would create a dvd that plays on the pc, but not on a set top box. then, I upgraded to 5.5.8.2, and I am experienceing the smae thing as you. I am running winxp pro, 784 megs of ram, celeron 1.3ghz.

have you contacted NERO/Ahead?
BTW, where did you get the firmware upgrade for your a104? I have the same drive, and it may need to be updated as well, what improvements were made in the new firmware?

Have you tried any other dvd burning software? I have tried a few, but have had no better success than with nero!
