    Video editing problems with camera

I have had some problems lately with my editing software and video matchup. I'm not sure if it is the camera or the editing software, bu the movement of the image from my new sony harddrive camera looks fine on the camera but once on the computer and in the editing software it seems to be kind of...i don't know the word...maybe, choppy or pixelated. However this only happens when the image is moving. If it is still the image appears fine.
Also this only really occurs when I get the final DVD out of the buring process after everything is done.

Someone mentioned a firewire card. What is that? and how do I know I have one?

Also does the video codec have anything to do with this?

    Any help would be great.

firewire , aka ilink are for mini dv formats, ur harddrive camera doesnt use tape nor that format.
