Sorry to be so off topic. I'm wondering if there's any free software one can use to make DVD slide shows.? Thanks!

Good to know - of the two, which do you like better?

Do you just go to "import pictures" with movie maker? Can you burn a slide show to DVD?

Also, on the description of the Nero software, it says burning to DVD is a feature of the paid for version only- not the case?

I have DVD X Show which I liked just fine - but it seems activation is impossible (on my current comp.). That's really lame.

My preference is Photoshow put out by Nero actually but both are good programs. In Photoshow it says you can't burn to DVD unless you upgrade I save a copy of my photoshow to my computer then burnitto a DVd.Movie maker is a little easier for you just starting I think, you can burn directly from it to a DVD.
Yes you just import the picts and you have different things like transitions you can use etc,Very cool program and really pretty simple to use.
