I use the Epson R320...it produces excellent results.

I only have experience with the Epson R220, & I have been very pleased with the results. I use it mainly for CDR/DVD printing. The Print CD software that comes with it is easy to use, works flawlessly.

I like the fact that it uses individual ink tanks. The Canon 6700 does like like a nice one, & I see the reviews are good for it.

      regards, katz

Epson R220 modified to add the six clear see-thru ink tanks with the automatic reset IC chips from printonadime. Reload ink supply with the tanks in the printer.

Also, the resetable software program that you can reset when the ink pad is full, so you don't have to send it back to Epson to reset the counter.
Freeware software program. SSC Service Utility

Last time I checked Epson R220 is $99. The modified ink tanks, all six for $42.
Software program free. All six colors at discount stores $20.

But what about the bundled software, is it any good or should i use Photoshop ? are there any templates for printing onto cd/dvds in PS ?

I personally would go with this printer:

            Epson Stylus Photo R1800

I have used canon and HP printer and nothing comes close to the high end epsons.
