Audio question (AC3)

Hey,

My source is AC3 44kHz 2.0ch 224kbps. I triend encoding it to MP3 using vbr 3 (92min 128ave 192max) and resample it to 44.1kHz
My problem is I keep gettin end results as MP3 32kHz
Is this because my source was Mono? Can some1 please explain and tell me how to do it right

44.1hz is a stereo rating, why would you be using mono, if your woried about size use 128k, 44.1 hz stereo

What r u talkin about I think u misunderstood my question. I already did what u suggested me.
