    how do i take my dv video from my camcoder and burn it to a dvd-r. i know nothing about, i have heard that it is possible. thanks.

    First step:Transfer ur video from cam to pc using a Firewire card.
    More help when u have accomplished this.

      all i want to do is to take my dv camcoder videos and convert them to dvd or avi using my computer. i know nothing about it. what do i need, sftware i need, any free software outthere. thanks.

              First of all, how is the video stored on your CamCorder?

              Is there a way (USB/DVD?) to transfer it to your computer?

              Once it is on your computer, the format will have to be determined and maybe converted to play on a DVD player.

              So what is the maker and model # of your DV??
