Thanks to whoever is owed for inventing this kick ass software to back up dvd's and especially for keeping it freeware!!!
I installed a burner last week on my machine and could not get over 1.5MB/s backup speeds. An average movie was taking over an hour. I searched and read and concluded i was in the small percentage that is stuck with that. And then it occured to me that I may not have set the jumper correct when I installed the new drive. Sure enough, the default jumper was Slave and the cd drive I swapped it out with was set to 'cable select'. So I switched the burner to cable select and now I am getting 9 MB/s and I just backed up and burned a dvd in < 10 minutes!!!!! I hope this might help someone else......
