I voted for +R just because of bitsetting, if your drive won't bitsett then dvd-r
    is better
    why?

I use -R for no other reason then that is what my original burner used and I've just stuck with them. Even though I've gone thru 2 burners since then.

+R for the bitsetting for greatest compatability among different players.

+R bitsetting, The first burner I got I tried the -R and they wouldn't play in my players so I started with the +R and just kept it that way.

I've been using -Rs for past 2 years ... since they happen to be cheaper than +Rs.

Voted for -R. That's what I've been using and I haven't had a problem, so I guess I'll stay with them.

Just got my first TYs. Can't wait to try them out!

                          I'm not sure...

But I think -R is for people that don't know HOW to bitset. I think Butseting is coming of age and catching up when people realize "ohhhhhh that is what bitsetting means" (happened to me)
                          Vote is +R

I have noticed that Home Dvd Recorders tend to use -R, I've yet to see one that records on +R
