DVD files copying gives a fatal exception error

hi, I have this peculiar problem. While copying DVD files(.vob) into my hard disk from a DVD movies, the windows XP blue screen shows with a fatal exception error. This particular problem doesn't happen while copying other data files other than a DVD movie files. Can someone give me the solution.
