The problem is not backing it up, LOL, I'm trying to buy this movie.

My birthday is coming up so I'm making a list of what I want. I loved the Stormbreaker book and thought it would be nice to get the DVD. Problem is, it appears to have been taken off shelves. Amazon.com has it, but used, and that's not a way to ask for something

Only place I can find it "new" is blockbuster.com, my mom has a rental subscription, so I COULD rent it, but I want to own the movie.

Does anyone know anywhere it's for sale, new?

I just don't get why it would have come out then be taken out of stock so quickly

In the USA the film was released on DVD December 19, exclusively at Wal-Mart.

Well, I suppose I could put it on my mom's Blockbuster rental queue... I just loved the book, and wanted to see the movie.

Heck, walmart.com doesn't even have it anymore... weird. But it's on tons of UK sites, did it do well there?

If it's really that bad, I might just put it in my mom's rental queue, if it's not worth owning.

They had never heard of the book.. I'm sure the book was probably much better than the movie ,which is usually the case in most book to movie deals....RE: Stephen King.
Save some money and rent it. It will probably be on basic cable before summer..

I went to F.Y.E. earlier to spend a $25 gift card, they didn't even have it in their catalog.

Unless my mom buys it used for my birthday I'll rent it. But if your kids need something to read, get them that book, it's awesome. Basically it's like James Bond but there's a kid who is a spy instead.

Yes, in fact it's just called Stormbreaker (not Alex Rider or whatever)

I read the first 5, very good stories. I gotta get the 6th from the library sooner or later.

OK I got it for my birthday.

Apparently my mom ordered it used from Amazon, it came in a Blockbuster case so it must have been a rental that someone bought. But anyway, I guess there's no choosing now
