    Adobe Premier Pro problem

    Hi,

Can anyone help. I just got another 1gig of ram to help my Adobe Premier Pro run more smoothly but when I view the imported AVI in premier they still seem to jerk around and capturing video from a DV cam is still dropping frames. The AVI's are all over 20Mb in size. The audio and video keep going out of sync annd it's really bugging me. It's a high enough spec PC and it should be able to handle this but it cant. Any ideas please

What kind of video capture connection did you use - firewire? If you use firewire interface, please try a free tool called WinDV to see if it make any difference

Small Windows utility for DV FireWire digital video input/output.

usb is going to slow it down a lot and drop a lot more frames if you're using that, firewire is definitely the best way to go. don't use the computer too much while doing it, cuz it dropped a lot for me when i'd try to do things in the background.
