    Capture Software

    Hi everyone,

I have purchased a new Capture card, AVER MEDIA DVD Esmaker PCI Deluxe.

The software that came with the product is Cyberlink Power Director 4 + Power Producer 3. It captures MEG2 but only in resolution 640 x 576 (which seems odd) and DVD Author 2 does not accept this, only 352x288, 352x576, 704x576 and 720x576.

Cyberlink have upgraded products (at further expence), but don't mention whether the resolution can be changed, so I am reluctant to spend any more money on product.

Can anyone help with any other capture software that is / are compatable with my Capture card?

    Thanks, Alan.

I am really not sure, if your card is supported, but since it should be a card with a built-in MPEG-2 encoder, I would suppose it might be...
The software below is free, so you might want to give it a go:
MediaPortal extends your HTPC to a full mediacenter. Just use a remote to listen to your favorite music & radio, watch your video's and DVD's, use it as a digital video recorder for HDTV and much more.

Take a look here, regarding its capabilities, ehm, did someone say 7 tuners in a single PC?
