New burner problem

I just installed a Memorex MRX-525G burner, it works fine, except when I do a disk quality check with Nero 6, instead of the display showing vertical lines top and bottom, it only shows one horizontal line on the top, also the disk I did it with showed 100% quality and no errors, I did it again on a different burner, also Nero 6 and showed a 50 % with 30 errors, is there a way to change the display?
