    Different issue

    Is there a way i can put home movies that are on vhs on to
    a dvd if so what do i need.

    A set top dvd recorder would do..you connect your vcr to it, payback your tapes and record to a blank dvd.
    There are other options like device that you can plug into your pc to record to it's hard drive, then burn to a dvd using your dvd burner..

      u need a capturing card, authering + dvd burning software.

      for capture u have many choices ... from seperate capturing card [could be expensive] to a several usb capturing devices. many tv tuners can also capture analog.

      let us know what way u want to go ...
      Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

        Hi... I am in UK, and got a program called 'Honestec' with my LG DVD burner. Does the job well. Plug VHS player in to PC, load to HD, then to DVD....I'm old and stupid and did it OK.... All the best.
