Not personally, but I have a mate who just loves his. He's a hobbyist but gets a kick outa doing hidef stuff for schools, weddings etc. He has a SONY and reckons it is terrific.

I am also looking to upgrade the ol' Samsung unit I have, and I thought that an HD piece would be the way to go from here-on out. Which model Sony does your aquaintance have Blu? Unless there is only one available from Sony...I haven't actually got that far into it yet
