2) If you mean Windows Media Player, unfortunately, the answer is "No" (Although, with the proper filters, you can play "plain vanilla" MPEG2 files)...
No if you have the MPEG2 files from your SVCD that you copied to your hard drive , you will not be able to play them on your PC in Win. Meda Player. I use Power DVD or Win DVD but there are others around.
If you have MPEG2 files that ARE NOT SVCD ENCODED (and you've installed and registered to Windows iviaudio.ax and ivivideo.ax) you can play them - from either CD or your hard drive - with Windows Media Player...
