MPEG 4 DVD Playback

Hi I was hoping anyone out there may be able to point me in the right direction re mpeg 4 on DVD Playback. I have burned an mpeg 4 file to DVD but on playback in quicktime the Audio is broken and not in sync, is this because of the DVD format not being able to support the writing of mpeg 4 to DVD disc.

You are using a standalone DVD player right? If so, you need to check the player's manuals to see what kind of MPEG-4 formats are acceptable. There are many types, from MPEG-4 ASP (similar to DivX/XviD, but less advanced encoding features) to the latest MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), and also different variations/profiles based on these as used by QuickTime and other formats.
