I know of a friend who has a satellite TV system.
The receiver of the satellite system is a dual mode PVR receiver better know as a VIP622 DVR.
This receiver can output HD for TV1 using HDMI, component y,pb,pr, S-video and SD for TV2 using composite connections and RF connection. The HD receiver or TV1 can output as high as 1080i.
The HD TV connecting to the receiver can upscale to 1080p on the HDMI connection or a true 1080p on the component y, pb,pr video.
The actual receiver records in HD and the output to TV1 is true HD.
QUESTION:
When the digital flag is activated will the signal be restricted thru the HDMI cable only or the y (green lead) of the component signal only. I am guessing it would be restricted on both connections at the same time.
