What is use MV file for Divx 5

How/what is the MV file and how is it different from the log file. Should I use it? I'm sure this has been asked but even at doom9 I couldn't find an answer.

The mv file contain the MotionVectors found in the first pass, by using the mv file the codec doesn't have to do motion search in the secondpass. Therefore it should make the secondpass faster.
