short video capture by phone ?

I had a short birthday video was captured by phone, the picture is good enough to put to dvd for this person's memory but the sound is very bad.

Question : what is the best way to do it if I just want to strip out video only and maybe add the song to it while the video playing?

The easiest way is to load the video in VirtualDub (provided VD supports the input format, which you have not mentioned ).

Then under AUdio menu choose, No audio and save the video as AVI. This will do the trick.

There is another way of doing this and that is to use AVISynth and there is a great front end GUI developed known as SynthEditor v0.1.1 by Rockas Software (free), but without knowing the format of the recorded video, I can not be specific.
