can anybody tell me why my dvd recorder rejects disks as 'can neither be recorded or played. Please help.

Has it been finalized? If not it won't play or allow recording but you can still finalize it in the recorder.

The dvd s are rw+. I have sony dvd/vcr. It has a provision to record and finalize -rw discs but not +rw. I reformat all discs before fresh recording. Please let me know what further information you require to solve this problem. Thanq!Comment

i have dvd shrink 3.2....some dvds copy but some dont....
the ones that dont say the following...
DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue
invalid dvd navigational structure

sony makes a lot of different models of everything, be specific
from what I have read +rw's don't have to be finalized when recorded in a certain mode
part of the specs I guessComment
