convert dvd movie to jpegs

hi all i wud like to be able to take a snapshot from homemovies and turn into jpeg, is there a way to do this? thanks!?

Open your DVD in Media Player Classic. Pause at the desired frame. Then click File/Save Image and save as BMP. Convert the BMP to JPEG with the windows Paint software. This is a freeware solution.

PowerDVD(not free) also has a snapshot feature and there you can configure your SAVE parameters.
