    lightscribe

I was wondering if either of my burners can lightscribe with 3rd party firmware etc.

    NEC ND 3550A fw 1.06
    Liteon LH 20A1P fw KL05

    or my laptop
    HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N fw PP02

    any guidance is appreciated.

    thanks

Lightscribe is HardWare based with software support. The above drives do not support Lightscribe.
    You raise the blade,
    You make the change,
You rearange me till I'm sane.
You lock the door, throw away
    the key,
    There's someone in my head
    and it's not me.

      thanks.

I knew they were not supported.

I just thought that there were some drives that could be enabled with a 3rd party firmware?

      TY again

        A little OT

Sorry to be a little OT but I have a problem with LightScribe in general. It is slow and only labels in monochrome. As a creative professional videographer why use it? Why not use a disc labeling medium that supports your natural creativity like the DiscPainter? Why not use full color and text you can actually read? OK I'll shut up now. Not trying to offend. Sorry if I have.
