    Router problems

Hey everyone, so I have hooked up a dlink EBR 2310 router up, both of my pc are working online and the internet is working just fine as far as browsing. The only problem I have found is when the Mrs is trying to access live feed of the Big Brother show using real player. Real player gives us a 'General Error' saying it can't find the default browser...now I use firefox but IE is the default browser. When I unplug the router and just put the net on the new computer real player works just fine...I have searched and searched but all that I could find was to turn of the fire wall on the router, and even that won't work..any ideas?

Hey Derree, have you checked through the advanced settings to see if you can allow access for Real Player (maybe through a port) or try turning a few advanced settings off to see if it will help, could be NAT.

If you haven't been to the advanced settings it's usually 192.168.0.1 or similar for D Link, check your manual.

Thanks Dan, I did go into the advanced settings for the router the only problem is that it is asking me for the port number...I have no idea what port real player might be trying to use
