Server Problems - 9th March 2008

Just a note to let everyone know that the server which hosted this forum started suffering hard disk related problems, which usually means the hard disk will be dead soon. I have quickly ordered a new server and have tried to transfer everything over. If you're reading this post, then it means you are looking at the new server.

There might be some broken links, error pages and other strange things as I've been up all night (it's now 6:30am here) trying to get the main websites up and running, so it's all a bit of a rushed (and sleep deprived) job. Please bear with me.

Have not encountered any problems after the switch over to the new server. Just on March 9. As Soup said.

Blank Media & Burning, Disc Quality Scan Thread, no attached images showing & when I try to upload new images to post in the thread, (this is from my pc through Manage Attachments), keep getting error. Also checked User CP & when I click on the attachments, nothing shows up.

Hi Admin. Thnx for the heads up. I just had some problems trying to access the how do you take screenshots thread. Said I didn't have permission or was trying to access administrator priviledges.

Images uploaded to the DD server don't show up. Perhaps it's just a DNS problem?

I've fixed it ... the new server software does directories differently than the old software (digital-digest.com/cynthia/ instead of digital-digest.com/~cynthia/), so I've added symbolic links that will ensure both types of links work.

Like the new way better. I don't have that ~ sign on my keyboard - so it's always tricky to write.

Cynthia, I have on my key board, look at the key to the left of the one key and above the tab key.~

Haha ... the post you quoted was actually posted at about lunch time here. It's the first post that's a bit abnormal, posted @ 6:24am on the night that I didn't sleep.

Things are slowly getting back to normal ...
