Be careful of Sold Out games and I mean the games made by Sold Out. This mostly involves the games that tell you during installation to disable background software before finishing the rest of the installation. Last year I bought their game FLIGHT UNLIMITED 3 and things seems OK at first. I started the three-disc game with disc one, then disc two and when it asked me at 78% to enter the next disc, disc three was rejected and when I entered disc one again it was rejected and disc two was rejected. All three discs were rejected and I was stuck at 78%. Then...I managed to uninstall the contents OK. I suspected I bought a faulty copy from a bad batch.
About a year later I bought the same game again from Sold Out and the same instalation problem hapened again and when I unintalled the 78% I noticed my Anti-Virus shortcut on my Desktop lost its design and then I got a speech bubble telling me my Anti-Virus was out-of-date even though I just got auto updates.
I rebooted to get the hope of refreshing and then after boot-up I was getting error messages gallore and messages about mising files and corrupted files. Some tried to re-install themselves and failed. Every time I rebooted I got the same. Due to PC's these days that no longer get Recovery discs to format where the Recovery is built-in, my PC Angle was also corrupted so I couldn't format. In the end I had to wait seven weeks for a new hard drive. A lot of hard drives are made slightly different now where they need an adaptor and they never come with the hard drives so you have to buy them seperate. Luckily my PC is under insurance so I got a free hard drive and adaptor but to speed things up I fitted the adaptor myself that was a simple and quick job.
This message is a warning to leave Sold Out games and maybe other cheap-sold games. I don't know about other countries but I'm mostly refering to people in England. No offence to people elsewhere in the world, it's nothing what you think, if anyone elsewhere in the world has the destributors called Sold Out, they might know what they are doing. In England, they are dangerous like selling hidden viruses. I wonder how many more of their so-called Mr. Bean-programmed games there are. Be careful. These fools are going to hear from me and I have two copied of the game as evidence that will be analyzed by experts before I take action. I've almost paid two months of Broadband that I never got a chance to use. IDIOTS in business.
Darren.
