    Mac to Windows conversion

I have a question about converting a video saved on a Mac to a Windows compatible format. What forum should I post it on?

    Thanks.

I don't know. The disk I got from my Commander was created on a Mac.
The "name" of the disk is LG_COMBI_RECORDER.

      It has two folders called:
      VIDEO_RM
      VIDEO_TS

The folder VIDEO_RM has three files in it:
      VIDEO_RM.BUP
      VIDEO_RM.DAT
      VIDEO_RM.IFO

The folder VIDEO_TS has six files in it:
      VIDEO_TS.BUP
      VIDEO_TS_IFO
      VIDEO_TS_VOB
      VTS_01_0.BUP
      VTS_01_0.IFO
      VTS_01_1.VOB

I can watch the video on my laptop but I don't know how to save it in a format that I can publish on my American Legion website so that others can view it. I need some kind of software that will allow me to save it as a WMV or other Windows compatible video format. Can you help or do I need to post this query elsewhere?

        this is standard dvd-rom/dvd-ram structure.
use tmpgenc to open the dvd/vob file to convert to ur liking
search forum / google for vob to wmv

The only files you need are the ones in the VIDEO_TS folder.

What I reccomend is using Auto Gordian Knot to make an AVI file... it will install the codecs so you can play it with Windows Media Player (not sure why you'd want to use WMP) or something else.

If you decide to use AutoGK, simply pick VTS_01_0.IFO as your source file, and it will automatically do the rest.
