If you wish to carry on using NERO, check for a firmware update for that drive. Use better media like Taiyo yuden or Verbatim. General rule of thumb here, is to burn at half the maximum rated speed of the blank disc, for example 16X, burm @8X. How old is that drive? How old are the blank discs? I would suggest using ImgBurn, it's free & very user friendly, but still follow the steps given.

ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that everyone should have in their toolkit... and it's free!

Thank you...I looked for some firmware upgrades and there were none...I am trying a Verbatim Disc at 8X because it calls for 16X at max...so taking your advice there. I will see what happens. If this doesn't work I will try Imgburn.

Thanks. Is there any other options...besides imgburn. Not very familiar with the program.

Glad you got it done. ImgBurn advice still stands though, great program.

@ Soup ... an Excellent point that you brought up ... How Old is the Blank ... how old a blank is very important, especially in mediocre blanks ... they tend to go bad. I have a friend mine used some cheapy blanks and recorded his wedding songs on it ... 8 years ago ... few of the songs are gone ... when I ran the Nero CD Speed Test ... scanning the CD ... it showed so many bad sectors I could not believe it.

@ hitch ... even though NERO worked for you ... I would still switch to ImgBurn ... must superior burning tool ... it finalizes everything "correctly".

            G!
