well lets see hes not talking bout any software but a competition to some software, that software could be anything.... hmmm a thin line though

The software in question doesn't rip commercial DVDs or break DRM (iTurns), so it's in the mould of Nero Recode or DVD2one, discussion of both of which are allowed.

This was taken from the DVD neXt COPY faq's:

I can not copy a DVD, I get a copy error!

The movie you are trying to copy is encrypted. DVD neXt COPY can copy personally authored DVDs or movies which are not encrypted. If you wish to copy a movie which is encrypted, you'll also need to install a third party decrypter like the “xxxxxxxxxx.dll” to unlock the DVD.

I wonder why Dr Who, moderator of the DVD Next Copy forum at The Freak Show said this about Saw 4 then? I guess he was using that dll.

I've contacted the author and clarified just exactly what the software does in relation to DVD copying, and I have decided that to be safe, the competition is to be closed and the software removed from Digital Digest.

The prize draw will still take place and prizes will still be given out.

I will give myself an infraction for this
