Does anyone know the titles to any software that enhances the volume? I have some music tracks and some are on a lower volume level and I want to raise the volume to an equal level.
Audacity can do that, and, best of all, it's free.

Musicmatch if they are still around. Used to be freeware and payware versions.
All my real old 45's and LP's put on CD-R at highest MP3 are balanced volume.
Many thanks everyone for the help. A problem has occured. The only one I can kind of get on with is Audacity. The problem is, why is it when I save a track it saves as an unknown file type that can't be played. There's no design on the logo except for coloured dots as if I have a document saved with the software missing that I wrote the document in. When I double-click on the file I get an error message in the Windows Media Player. I have to save using Export Multiple. I don't know why I can't save like any other software lets us. It's bad enough I had to find the Lame software under a title called Locate Lame.
BeSweet has so many things in their web page, I wasn't sure what to install and Musicmatch doesn't seem to have a volume control to raise the sound so that I can save music with a higher volume.
Does anyone know how I can save properly through Audacity?
