I have seen this problem a number of times but no one ever has any idea how to solve it or even what the problem is:
HDCAM or HDCAM SR tapes played back into a component projector with sound fed into a Dolby cinema processor losing sync or falling out of sync during playback. It may also happen with other tape formats but I have seen it most with these two.
It seems that if a projector is fed the SDI signal (with imbedded audio) sync is perfect as I have seen a number of times. But i have also seen and heard of situations where a projector does not have SDI inputs - the component inputs are used and the playback is out of sync.
Any one seen this, solved it?
