    .WMV Jagged,chain looking edges

    Hi,
I have a .WMV file, the picture is great when the actors/camera are not moving, but as soon as they move all the edges of everything on screen becomes Jagged and chain looking (like a zip/zipper).
Someone must know what im talking about, it sounds weird but thats the best way i can describle it.
Is there a way i can fix this problem ?
if more info is needed pls let me know
    thx alot for your help

You have INTERLACED video. Use a DEINTERLACE filter while viewing it.

Not necessarily. If you want to burn it as DVD-Video for viewing in TV, then there is no need to deinterlace it. You can keep it interlaced, but make sure that the field order is mentioned correctly.

thanks for the link, i read it and understand a bit better.
Some of my files can be de-interlaced and the jaggedness goes away, but others just come out the same when i de-interlace them, so im gonna have to find a way to fix them.I want to burn them to dvd so my girl can play them on her dvd player.
So, im gonna try re-encoding them at a diff frame rate.
If u have a solution dont keep it to yourself, it good to share.

                Why different frame rate ?
If you wish to , you can upload a small sample of the files which are difficult to fix. I might have a look at it myself and find out whether there is a way to get it right.
