DVD -> DivX Conversion Using GraphEdit

    Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to encode DVD .VOB files to DivX using GraphEdit. I've been attempting it myself, but none of my MPEG-2 video decoders want to get along with the DivX Pro encoder ("...filters can't agree on a connection..."). I've tried using the Cyberlink Video Decoder, Intervideo Video Decoder, and Ligos MPEG-2 Decoder.

    Any help would be appreciated.

why would one go this way when excellent tools for the very same job exist?

I've never tried using Graphedit for DVD -> AVI conversion (though I've seen a Guide by Nicky on it). As UncasMS put it, there are better tools for this job out there. I use vFAPI + nandub (I need vFAPI to open .tpr files, so no GK for me), and UncasMS would recommend GordianKnot + DivX 5.

      Take your pick.

The reason I would like to use Graphedit for this type of conversion is because:
          - I'm sick of FlaskMPEG crashing whenever I try to use the LAME ACM codec or Radium MP3 codec (among other things...)
          - VirtualDub freezes up whenever I try to use AVIsynth
          - NanDub only encodes using DivX 3
          - the copy of GordianKnot on Doom9.org is corrupted
          - I don't know how to use VFAPI
          - I like GraphEdit

what EXACTLY is wrong with it?

you could find the same pack on my site and the version is free of errors (as is doom9s)

Every time I download a copy, all my extraction programs claim the archive is corrupted.

i have only experienced this when winrar 3 was used for 'zipping' and the 'unzipper' was NOT winrar3!
