hi folks!
i have a problem with the size of the encoded dvdrip of ENTRAPMENT! ( length 108 mins, 103 mins film, 5 mins cast)
i used divx 3.2 codec with the vulture patch, my settings were:
crispness 80
bitrate: 1700 kb/s
resolution: 720x320
i only encoded video! i use the digital audio of the dvd with the quality of 384 kbit/s. ( the ac-3 file is 270 mb big)
now what came out was a avi file with only a size of 977 mb!
and the picture quality was not bad!
but i wanted it to be exactly 700 mb. i've tried it 2 times with smaller bitrates, but all where smaller than one gb.
the optimum size of the videofile should be 1130 (+270 mb= 1400=2x700mb cds).
i also used some calculators to get some bitrate suggestions but they where all between 1300 kb/s and 1450 kb/s.
could it be that the vulture patch improve both the quality of the picture and the file size (means smaller)?
next time i will use a bitrate of 1800 kb/s, hope it gonna match the size.
have u guys some experience with that vulture patch out there?
