    Help burning avi to CD

Hi, if this is in the wrong section i do apologise, and i hope this is even the right forum to help me.

Firstly i have an avi file i wish to put on a CD, now it has a subtitle file in it which you can turn on and off with VLC but for some reason it doesn't play them and i get this error

    No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "DXSB". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

anyway i have found some subtitles that work and fit, now my question is if i burn this avi to a CD will those subtitle play, and can i remove them and swap them for the ones that work on the PC (sub file). And if so can anyone recommend any software that will allow me to create a video VCD or SVCD with these subtitles 'turn-off-able'?

    Thanks in advance

    Michael

Can your stand-alone play .divx files with subtitles? If so that's the best way. Just use AviAddXSubs freeware to mux the subs in. You'll need divx player download(from divx.com) to test on the PC. .divx with subs doesn't show up on vlc or mpc.

If you have to convert to dvd then it probably won't fit on cd anyway.
Please be more specific if you need more help.
