    AutoGK Help Needed!

So guys, I've tried to not ask any n00bish video questions for a while, but this has been bugging me for some time.

My Auto Gordian Knot now seems unable to open any type of MPEG-2 video. Whether it's .mpg, .vob, .ts, or even an IFO from a DVD. It shows this error message (not my screenshot, I found it on another forum):

So I used Uninstall Tool (I'm using that for everything now as it's faster and better than the Windows one), I uninstalled AutoGK, then used the program to remove all traces of it too, this being registry entries, etc.
I re-installed it from SourceForge, and the error persists.

I've Googled the issue, but it seems people are asking more about ripping DVDs than converting files... whereas I have these files on my hard drive, they play fine everywhere, it's an AutoGK problem, not a decrypting problem.

So any insight would be appreciated. If it's a conflict with another codec/program, it would be nice to know. As far as I know, ffdshow is still the primary codec package.

Any version. I'm currently using 2.55 (the newest), but I tried as far back as 2.37 with no luck. Apparently some people had success by downgrading to 2.40, but that didn't work for me.

The files play everywhere. MPC, VDub can open them, VideoReDo, etc.

And they aren't all DVD files. The one I'm trying to do right now is just a mpeg file... likely sourced from a DVD, but there's no IFO with it. Just the MPG. When I have tried on DVDs I would use VTS_01_1.IFO, as well as the VOB, and the IFO gave me a similar error saying "unable to parse IFO".

Well, the reason I use AutoGK for quick encodes is that it automatically detects if it's interlaced or not, and it will use a pretty good quality inverse telecine filter if it is. And if it's variable framerate, it fixes that.

I've never liked SUPER... that one uses ffmpeg, not AviSynth, it's not really that good. And I've never heard of MediaCoder... does it work with VOBs like AutoGK does (while making the output look good, not just blending the fields to deinterlace)?

Still, I guess I want to get AutoGK working... something clearly broke, and it should be able to be fixed. I'm thinking it's DGIndex's fault, as that's what splits the audio and video.

          --EDIT--

Yeah, definitely looks like it's DGIndex's fault. I ran DGIndex myself, and fed AutoGK the .m2v file... and it worked fine. The only catch is now there's no audio, I have to do it by hand. So I'll see if reinstalling DGIndex through AutoGK solves it.
